Prepare for a better consultation

Use this guide after booking or before choosing a slot. It explains how to arrive prepared for a Consulta session, where the join link lives, what reminders can and cannot guarantee yet, and how to recover access if a message is delayed.

Keep the confirmation pass

After a booking is confirmed, keep the tokenized confirmation pass. It is the durable page for access and management, even if an email or WhatsApp notification is delayed.

  • Use the pass for session time, consultant details, and booking status.
  • Open Beam, calendar files, Google/Outlook shortcuts, reschedule, cancel, and preferences from the pass.
  • Do not rely on copied raw meeting links as the primary access path.

Prepare the work context

The most useful prep is concise and specific. Bring enough context for the consultant to understand the problem quickly and help you leave with a clear next step.

  • The business or workflow goal you want to improve.
  • What you already tried, what is blocked, and who needs the result.
  • Links, files, examples, screenshots, or system names that are safe to discuss.
  • The decision you want to make by the end of the session.

Check the video setup

Beam is the browser video handoff. Use the confirmation pass to open the pre-join screen before the appointment starts, especially on a phone or a new laptop.

  • Confirm your display name before entering the room.
  • Check camera and microphone permission in the browser.
  • Use a stable network and a quiet location when possible.
  • If the token is expired or invalid, use Account recovery or WhatsApp support.

Know the notification boundary

Consulta supports reminder and follow-up preferences from the confirmation pass, but live email and WhatsApp delivery still depends on provider credentials and smoke proof.

  • Treat reminders as helpful, not as the only source of truth.
  • Transactional booking messages stay separate from optional reminders and follow-ups.
  • If a message does not arrive, recover access from Account or Sign in using the booking contact.

Change plans early

Policy actions are part of the product surface. Use the pass early if your plan changes; support cannot bypass payment state, token validity, or the consultant's configured policy.

  • Reschedule or cancel while the policy window is open.
  • Use WhatsApp support when recovery fails or the session access path is unclear.
  • For paid sessions, payment return pages are navigation, not payment proof.
